NEO: TWEWY has an abundance of extra content and secrets to unlock throughout the Reaper’s Game. The most important of these come in the form of Secret Reports, which are hinted at the very end of the game, holding the key to additional gameplay and story benefits. If you’ve enjoyed the journey so far, you won’t want to miss out.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to obtain all of the NEO: TWEWY Secret Reports.
How many NEO: TWEWY Secret Reports are there?
There is a grand total of 24 Secret Reports in NEO: TWEWY, which are all unlocked in one of two ways. Either defeat a Boss Noise whilst replaying previous days, or hit certain milestones in your Social Network completion. The specific way each report is obtained along with all Boss Noise locations will be covered below.
What are the rewards for unlocking the Secret Reports?
There are two main reasons to acquire the Secret Reports.
Once all 24 have been obtained, complete the final chapter again to witness the NEO: TWEWY secret ending, which expands on the original conclusion.
The other core benefit comes within the reports themselves, which can be read for a greater understanding of the TWEWY world. These are quite lengthy, and considerably expand upon the plot and lore, answering some of the questions you’ve probably got at the end.
If you are only interested in the texts themselves, then you can read them all here. Beware that these contain many story spoilers, so ensure you have completed the game first.
Finally, you’ll obtain the Secret Sleuth trophy along with the corresponding graffiti.
How to obtain all Secret Reports in NEO: TWEWY
Each Secret Report is obtained in one of two ways – filling up your Social Network to a specific totals, and defeating boss noise. To obtain them all, you need to complete the entire Social Network and defeat 19 Boss Noise.
How to unlock Boss Noise
Towards the end of the game, a Social Network node for Hazuki Mikagi is added automatically.
Spending 5 Friendship Points on his node will unlock the “Bossy Noise” skill, which causes Boss Noise to appear when replaying previous days. Needless to say, you should activate this node as soon as possible.
Boss Noise are coloured blue, but are NOT to be confused with the other blue Noise that increases your drop rate. Boss Noise always has a specific location and does not fly around the screen, whereas the other Noise type will fly away from you when you approach.
How to max the Social Network
There is an important point to note about the Social Network, which must be 100% completed to obtain Secret Report 10.
NEO: TWEWY only has a set number of Friendship Points, and all of these must be obtained to activate all of the nodes within the Social Network.
This means to get complete your Secret Report collection and unlock the secret ending, you must do the following:
- Complete the game (many Social Network nodes are unlocked automatically through the story)
- Complete every sidequest
- Clear every Dive with Gold ranking – including a Dive within the Another Day chapter, which itself is unlocked after beating the game once
The task here is a rather big one, which will also entail buying a lot of threads and a lot of meals to unlock the relevant store and restaurant owners. Check through your empty Social Network nodes regularly, which will often give you the necessary criteria for these contacts.
